Now in its twenty-fifth year Workman Nydegger was founded in 1984 by H. Ross Workman, Rick D. Nydegger and Allen R. Jensen, and a handful of associate lawyers. From that modest beginning, the firm is now numbered among the largest firms in Salt Lake City, with over sixty-five attorneys, and is known both nationally and internationally as a top intellectual property firm specializing in prosecution and litigation. In its March 2010 IP200 ranking Intellectual Property Today, ranked W|N 23rd nationally based on the number of utility patents issued listing the firm as the legal representative, and in last year's ranking W|N ranked 10th nationally based on the number of patents issued from patent applications that originated in the U.S. (see related article).
