W|N Sponsors Second Annual Women's Tech Awards
W|N served as one the Innovation Partners sponsoring the Women Tech Council’s Second Annual Women's Tech Awards. Held last September, the Awards were attended by several hundred representatives from industry and education. Outstanding women leaders were recognized at the Awards in the categories of Education Excellence, Community Builder, Rising Star, Technology Innovator, Technology Trailblazer, and Leadership Excellence. Rick Nydegger of Workman Nydegger presented the award for Technology Trailblazer to Carolyn McClain, Distinguished Engineer at Novell. Carolyn is named as inventor on several issued and pending U.S. and foreign patents for Novell, and was promoted to Distinguished engineer in 2006. In addition to her many professional accomplishments, she is also active in serving the disabled in her community, as well as actively participating in various volunteer activities at middle and junior high schools in community.
